What are the best aspects of this product?
We love that it is possible to work on projects using ZenHub without having to leave GitHub. It is the only tool that we have seen that can do that. It is simple to set up and use in managing tasks which makes our team to have a smooth transition. It has become the cornerstone of our project management and development solutions as it offers more than what we were getting while using Trello. Although similar, ZenHub has proven to be reliable and seamless especially since it created in GitHub, an open source. The cost of the software is also friendly s it is free when you want to manage projects that area private and also on open source. The customer support at ZenHub is highly responsive to the queries we have and thus bliss.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
There is little to say negative about the product. It has managed to change how projects are managed and since you can work on the projects while you are still in GitHub, which adds to its effectiveness. However, there is still room for improvement considering that the tool is new in the market. In that case, they do not have many features as you would expect. Luckily, the developers are always adding new features and discussing ways to make the product reliable on their blog. For the case of customization, it does not offer much for users. It would be better if they made this feature vibrant for users who want more of customization that what they have on GitHub.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
The collaboration and communication among team members working on a single project is seamless. We are able to be more organized regardless of whether we are operating from the same office or working remotely. Since it is built in GitHub, I am able to access my work and check the progress of the project with ease by just pressing the ‘B’ button. This means that I do not have to leave GitHub or switch to a different tab to check my work as it works on GitHub. With such functionalities, I can check the progress and condition of different tasks within a project and know the level of completion and which tasks are due.

What are the best aspects of this product?
It integrates well with GitHub which gives it the needed boost for one to manage their projects. With its reliable framework, you are able to prioritize tasks when working on an IT project. Although there are other similar tools, ZenHub offers the best functionalities for you to manage tasks effectively and give them the emphasize they deserve. It also integrates with Chrome where the extension comes with added features to help improve user experience. When you compare with what other similar tools have to offer, ZenHub beats all to give you the best in terms of what a project manager would want.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Although it cannot be compared with other products in terms of functionality, it has a drawback. Despite it being helpful and offering the best of project management solutions, it can be a pricy service. Its pricing plans are based on per user and they are expensive as compared to when you are using GitHub. Although built from this, when you have multiple users, it means that you have to pay more which can be expensive. It would be better if they customized their pricing plans to suit the needs of project manager with multiple users.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
It is built on GitHub which makes it a reliable tool to implement for your projects. We have been able to effectively manage our team of developers without much hustle. When it comes to prioritizing tasks, ZenHub helps us to do that and also monitor the existing ones with ease. The rich features such as Burndown helps us to rate the complexity of the tasks in our projects. Apart from that, we can use this functionality to know their completion time which is a huge plus on our part.

"Create Epics Seamlessly with Github"

Ease of use. Easily integrates to make epics for github issues

Takes a little bit to get use to the UI but after using it, really helps

Sooner you start in a project the faster it will become useful. You need to get use to it but once past the spin up time, it will help getting epics going

What do you like best?
ZenHub is simple to use, overlays directly on top of GitHub (which you need anyway for source control), and has the basic features you need to manage and track work over sprints. I most enjoy the ease of use, but it has also turned into my entry portal when searching for information in GitHub: I'll occasionally go into the PRs or Issues tabs, but to get a bird's eye view that presents information that's most likely to be relevant to you, it's the best place to look.
What do you dislike?
If you've been facing the issue that you're spending too much time organizing things and planning out in your agile process instead of using your time to develop, the lightweight solution is good. But, if you want advanced tooling and a deeper integration for tracking your work, it might not be a great solution.
Beyond that, there are some minor bugs where cards will occasionally jump to the wrong milestone or be impossible to move where you want them. It's often due to something that indicates a problem in how you're thinking about the process, but it can be frustrating to fight against it at times. These bugs are minor and something I face about once a month with monthly use.
Finally, it can be difficult to jam all the information into the ZenHub board all at once. I work across many, many repos as a Full Stack engineer, and while it's clear how to filter down results by repo, sprint name, or user in the UI, it can still be cluttered or clunky to filter out with different dimensions over and over.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider how heavyweight a solution you need. If it's lightweight, take a close look at this.

We use it to track work during a sprint and during our sprint planning meetings to get a good view of our current project statuses.
