PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Namely has great features and I love all of them even though I never knew I will use them. I love the “view as” option, I am able to keep track of my employees and to see what they are able to see and help them when they need some answers or for certain updates. It is really helpful tool when the enrollment is open and I am allowed an easy access when creating report for someone. The system is very customizable, we are able to keep track of huge amount of data. This system is really important to our managers they use it more than a normal payroll system. I am able to create various levels of access for every type of users.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

As I said before, this product has many features but some of them are not fully customizable. For example we named “Anniversaries” into “Fooliversaries” and we couldn’t change the word anymore. Also, it would be great if they could implement an options where the managers can see employees’ birthdays.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

With Namely, our employees have an easy access to their information (their bonus history, salary history and so on). Our executives can create and run their own reports and review the metrics via dashboard. We constantly re-organize something in our company, and this product makes this re-organizing proves simpler.

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

We can easily adapt Namely to our company’s needs. I love how they are open to new suggestions and feedback from their clients and they do anything to improve their product so it can fit their customers’ needs. I love the New Hire on-boarding functions, this will reduce the difficulties of adding new employee. I have to say that I am really amazed of its customer service and support, they offer us direct contact with our manager who helps us to solve the issues.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The only thing I would change is the ability to keep the account manager from the start instead of having someone new to be our guide and account manager. This is not big deal, but as we work directly with our account manager we build trust with him and we really want to continue to work with him instead of having a new one. Also, it would be great to pair the client and a specialist in same time zone because of the scheduling of calls.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We are able to manage our HR data and department, it is great and powerful tool for our managers, executives and employees. Everyone feels comfortable using it. We changed our manual system to complete automation, and we continually improve our processes.

Great tool with great features

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Easy to use and intuitive product for both administration and front-end users. The field of usage is flexible and it provides security roles to align in way that we can easily resolve problems. The roadmap is open to all clients’ opinions, they always hear their customer’s voice, feedback and suggestions. They always look for new ways to engage with their users and to develop new features that will meet their users’ needs. I want to see their new features.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Even though this is great product they always have some room to improve themselves and to grow on the workflow side. I really want to see some changes they keep in store and to find new ways to utilize the security groups. I believe they will work on their improvement and enhancement especially when it comes to Reporting Engine. We don’t use tons of papers anymore and this is great step for us. We want a software where we can keep track of every kind of data (more history, calculated fields and better filter capabilities).

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We finally moved from spreadsheets to automatic HR data system. And all our employees are able to access every piece of information for both themselves and for everyone in the company. They could search by location, department, team and other tools. Namely helps our employees to be more engage and to improve their communications with each other.

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

The HRIS front end is good for onboarding and employee information management. And the Analytics tool is a major upgrade (because they implemented Looker's product instead of building something themselves). The native Namely reporting is really really bad - it cannot even sort dates correctly.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Benefits Administration and Payroll products are very bad. Be sure you ask to see these in detail when you're buying because they will mostly show you the glossy front end. The part your teams actually needs to work in is pretty terrible and very poorly tied together. We are constantly finding things that Namely needs to fix, and they usually don't fix it correctly the first time.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

Better reporting for Payroll and Benefits

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

My People Ops team has gone to extraordinary efforts to fix a number of things. The service we receive and the quality of follow through is horrible. I would give Namely a 0 every day of the year, but this week's particular issue is that after a recent Open Enrollment period only about half of employee deductions were being made - despite TWO separate confirmations from my team with Namely that everything was setup. And that was AFTER Namely set the deductions up wrong in the first place. Two weeks ago we asked for some price relief for a set of employees that don't get payroll or benefits admin through Namely - and we were told no. It's just bad after bad after bad. The members of my team who use Namely are problem solvers, not complainers, and every single one cannot wait to get off of this platform.

What are the best aspects of this product?

What I love about Namely is the design and functionality. Our employee engage with social-media-esque. We use various applications daily and the fact that we needed another HR tool means that we wanted to make the workflow for our team accessible and friendly. Namely doesn’t lose the functionality nor tis reporting capability.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

To be honest, I don’t really have problems with Namely, its customer service is great I can ask questions and I get the answers immediately without fail.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

As our company grows we wanted to implement solid HRIS foundation and HR tool as a support for our company’s growth. We are able to keep data organized and secure and we are able to review the cycles whenever we need to. I have to say that I feel their support.
