What do you dislike?
The API needs to be improved.
For example, you can't access any ATS data over the API. Would also be good to have date fields in the API instead of having them as a field attribute.
It's also worth mentioning the NetSuite integration only supports some standard fields. If you have a custom field that won't be integrated from BHR to NetSuite.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The main issues I've seen are related to their API.
If you're developing a PoC, give this a good test to make sure it will work for you / identify any potential blockers.

It's allowed us to implement a reliable HR system which has greatly improved the data quality of our employee records.

"Adding BambooHR to the Software We Use was Like Adding a New Employee"
What do you like best?
Before BambooHR: We had personnel files scattered all over our network. Onboarding a new employee was a chore. I used to cringe when my boss called me and asked a question about an employee -- something that should have been easy to find. Now, with BambooHR: everything is found in one place, I can quickly and easily find what I need, and I look forward to having answers for my boss available -- at a push of a button. I also love how easy BambooHR integrates with TraxPayroll and with GoodHire (background checks).
What do you dislike?
Many items in BambooHR are canned solutions. We would love to have more control over fields, tables, and reporting. One good thing: BambooHR provide an easy way to suggest ideas. We have seen BambooHR implement some of our ideas.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
BambooHR helped us to move from paper-based personnel files to in-the-cloud, electronic files. BambooHR also has a great ATS module. The onboarding module in BambooHR is my favorite part. It is great to be able to upload items from a template and fire-off the automation. My HR related workload has decreased while productivity and accuracy have gone up.

What do you like best?
All of our HR information is in one place!! I no longer have to scan and file each and every document. This has been so amazing since Covid has forced our staff to work remote for the most part.
What do you dislike?
As a Native American Tribal Office, Bamboo is not able to handle our payroll :( There are over 400 recognized tribes in CA alone. I think they need to consider doing tribal payroll!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Once you sign up, you are assigned a Project Manager that literally walks you through everything in order to get set up correctly!

I have been able to eliminate the manual workflow of having documents passed around and waiting for signatures from multiple people. I've also eliminated 3 of the documents that we've been using as Bamboo has taken those steps and automated them!
