NEED A GREAT POS SYSTEM?I have been very happy with LightspeedHQ. The functionality is so amazing -its a business owners dream. I was on another platform for a brief moment but after having numerous mental meltdowns trying to manage a large inventory with csv uploads and downloads I migrated everything to Lightspeed. Seriously, I have never regretted that decision. No platform even comes close to the user friendliness of the Lightspeed Retail Platform. It’s easy to edit on the fly. Integrations are easy. Reports are easy to access and available within seconds. Customer data and history are easy to access and adjust. Purchase orders, vendor returns, Coupons, Sales, Discounts, Inventory, Gift cards…all easily accessed and editable. I love that I can access the system remotely and check daily sales. I just can’t say enough great things about the platform. I use a 3rd party app to sync my inventory with Shopify and another for my customer loyalty both integrate nicely without issue albeit a tad more complicated than Lightspeed. I also sync JoinHomebase for my scheduling and payroll. I don’t have many reasons to contact support but when I do the conversations are always professional and friendly. The staff at lightspeed know what they are talking about so it doesn’t take long to get issues resolved and questions answered. Thats right you can actually speak to a person rather than spending endless hours wasting away in a chat purgatory. The people at lightspeed know how to treat their customers right!!! I just recently renewed my POS service for another year and had the pleasure of speaking with Corey Zuckerman. He helped me select the right renewal option for my business and was seriously one of the nicest customer care professionals I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. I love lightspeedhq. Is not the cheapest option but it is the ABSOLUTE BEST POS system ever! Despite what all those blogs say rating Lightspeed #4 it's simply not true. Vend was an absolute nightmare for us. I can only assume that these blog writers haven't actually used these POS systems on the daily.Seriously...Lightspeed is Great! You’ll save time, you’ll reduce stress, it's easily teachable...these 3 reasons alone make it well worth the the money.

Making Business Easy!

I use lightspeed for my Point of Sale, Merchant Services, E-Commerce, & Website Hosting. It also works along with my Quickbooks accounting software. The biggest benefits for me are having one point of contact for all those services, 24/7 Support, that it is cloud based, and that I can access the system when I'm away from work to make customer quotes, check pricing, or help an employee on my day off. It allows me to make more money.

Stay away from this fraud company

Stay away from this fraud company. Their sales agent, Hailey and entire team is a fraud people. Customer services is far from truth in this fraud company. Never call back. I posted another review and a fraud from this company replied and said they will get back to me. Till today no one did (just like all other times). Scam people out of their money and do not provide the service they charged for. They charged us, a non-profit $2000+ and never provided the service. Called many times and no answer. Emailed many times, no replies. WORST COMAPNY EVER.Update Dec 30: no one ever called me since they said they will contact me almost 3 weeks ago. Shame on this people :(

The absolute worst customer service

The absolute worst customer service. They were good untill they sold me the hardware and turned their back on me. I had to figure out everything on my own. Don't answer calls, messages, even the tech team say we will call you back but no response.

Horrible service, Much better options else where


What are the best aspects of this product?

The product looks nice if you spend the time to make it look nice. Else it looks very basic.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Sales and their IPO is the only thing they are interested in. Once sale is are you realize nothing works correctly

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

Reports that work, And not charging clients for extra costs to get a reports that show little information.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Lightspeed has been a horror for us since the start. What we were presented at during the sales meeting made us very excited and happy, but the second the contract was signed, for our 3 locations everything went down hill. I had to pull teeth and send multiple messages and to get our installation done on time. And even at that they finished doing it opening day, and were debugging while we had to serve clients. And that is a whole other story.

The product itself looks good but really does not work for a restaurant. Little things like having a single client pay without closing the full table is not possible. Servers need to figure out all these ways/trick to speed up service without being slowed down by Lightspeed. Items cannot be sent to multiple locations at ones (if something come from both the kitchen and bar like a Caeser with bacon)

The reports are terrible. Items are split up in ways were the they are split if clients have payed 1/2 or 1/3 of the amount. So items like Natchos that are group type items, to no how many have been sold you need to add the full one, the 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6, .... amounts. So extracting any information takes a long time. Many of the reports have numerical errors in them, and as such they cannot be trusted. Also, tyring to export hourly sales or receipts all have wrong times on them (our restaurant closes at 1am, yet it still show receipts until 5am)

It is not possible to use the inventory option in bar because they can only have units
